====== Canvas Suitable Integration ======
The Suitable Canvas Integration is now available to use in College of Public Health courses. The integration allows faculty to add existing Suitable activities as assignments in their Canvas courses. /* A column in the gradebook will be created and completion grades will sync as students complete the activities assigned in Canvas.*/
===== Adding a Suitable Activity to Your Canvas Course =====
To get started, follow the steps below or watch this video tutorial: [[https://temple.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=ec63eb17-5495-499f-96a1-b1fd0100fa96 | How to Add an Activity as an Assignment in Your Canvas Course]]
- In your Canvas course, click on **Assignments** from your course navigation menu
- Click on the **three dots** in the upper right-hand corner of the Assignments area and then select either **IMPACT Undergraduate** or **IMPACT Graduate** (whichever pertains to the course you are teaching)
- Scroll through the list of Suitable activities under the column called Search Content on Suitable
- Locate the activity you would like to add and click on the **green plus sign** to add the activity. You will see the activity now listed on the right-side column
- Click on the blue **Sync Content to Course** button at the top of the window
- The screen will return to your assignments area in Canvas where you can publish your assignment.
The assignment defaults to 100 points. If you would like to change the default point value, you can only do this before you publish the assignment. If you have not published the assignment yet, click on **Edit** and change the amount of points, then click on **Save and Publish** to apply the changes and make available to students.
===== Setting Up Auto-Sync Grading =====
After you have published your assignment, there is an additional step that must be completed in order for the completion grades to sync properly between Suitable and Canvas. Follow these instructions:
- Click on the **three dots** again from the Assignments area
- Click on **IMPACT Undergraduate** or **IMPACT Graduate**
- Click on **Sync Grades and Roster**. **This button must be pressed for your grades to sync properly between Suitable and Canvas.**
- Click on **Grades** and you will see a column in the Gradebook has been added for the assignment.
===== Previewing Suitable Activities Before Adding Them to Canvas Courses =====
