Remote Management and Off-Campus Updates

As the majority of faculty and staff are working remotely, both ITS and CPH IT use a remote management solution for security, compliance auditing, and software patching. The majority of Temple University systems are pre-configured with these systems.

Some university-provided workstations will require manual intervention to enroll or re-enroll in these systems. During all remote support sessions, we will be verifying remote management enrollment as part of our University compliance efforts. Enrollment in these systems does not impact your daily use, but will allow us to ensure that your system is receiving essential updates and policy changes.

If you think your computer has not received any updates recently, it is imperative that you let us know as soon as possible, so we may resolve these issues. Without these systems in place, your computer is far more susceptible to internet threats.
