Zoom Web Conferencing

Update (7/16/2019): The University will soon announce a site-wide license for Zoom. CPH Zoom accounts will be transitioned to the University account on later date. All cloud recordings and meeting links will transition. In the meantime, existing CPH Zoom users should continue to log into Zoom by going to zoom.us. More information will be sent out to current CPH Zoom users soon. Please note that CPHIT will no longer provide new users access to Zoom. If you are not a current Zoom user and you would like to be, please submit a request to tuhelp.temple.edu.

Zoom is an easy-to-use web conferencing solution that provides HD video and audio and robust collaboration, recording and security features. CPH IT recommends using Zoom because it provides:

  • Easy set up and use
  • HD quality video and audioVideo and recording in breakout rooms
  • Increased storage in the cloud and on local storage
  • Recordings saved in MP4 format (no conversion needed)
  • Transcription

A Zoom account is NOT required to join a Zoom web conference as a participant. Zoom accounts are only required for users who are "hosting" or leading a web conference.
